I use Visma Administration 2000 Version 5.4.

When I used the program before Christmas it worked without any problems, but not anymore.

When I start the program and have to choose which company to open, there is a problem. A blue box will appear "Brighten your working day with our new start page". At the same time, an error message box pops up with a script error message. Whether I choose Yes or No to continue running scripts, I fail to open the company.

There is a script error at url:https://vismaspcs.se/min-sida/ADMIN/5.4?ccat=0&flag=0&prod=ADMIN&ver=5.4&bur=0
That url is a page with information, tips and advertising for training courses. A completely unnecessary page that I never read. However, it seems to be the one causing the problem. If you open the link in a browser, the page looks OK, but the program apparently cannot open it.
Almost as if the communication between the browser and the program is not working.

Anyone have any solutions I can try?

Just want to add. The program works when there is no internet connection. However I would like it work when my PC is connected. Is there a way to set up the program so it won't use internet?

This may help you sure

Disable script debugging: If the error message specifically mentions script debugging, you can try disabling script debugging in your browser or system settings. Here's how:
  • Open Internet Explorer.
  • Go to Tools > Internet Options.
  • Click on the Advanced tab.
  • Under the Browsing section, uncheck the boxes next to "Disable script debugging (Internet Explorer)" and "Disable script debugging (Other)".
  • Click Apply and then OK.

Hi ThumperTM and the rest of you.
Sorry for not noticing your posts. As there were never any response in the thread I didn't check back in the thread.

What I did to get Visma to work was blocking SPCS.exe from connecting to internet. It worked great for 5 weeks, until today. Now it's giving me problems.

I start the program and select which company to open. Instead of the company opening, two boxes appear. "No contact with vismaspcs.se". The firewall has been set for just over a month to not allow access for SPCS. If I try to open the internet access the script error I had before comes back.

I remember ThumperTM has been very helpful before and I hope somebody has any solution?
Thanks.

I tested som more.
I disabled the internet blocking for Visma SPCS. Then, as expected, the script error occurred.
6 weeks ago it was possible to avoid the script error and be able to work with the program if I turned off the internet connection. I tested this. The script error did not appear, but the box "No contact with vismaspcs.se" did and the company could not be opened.

I don't know what to try with now?

apklexa suggested to disable script debugging in Internet Explorer, but I don't have Internet Explorer.

Now I got it working. It was not possible to open a company, but it was possible to create a new company. I created a new test company and made 1 verification. Then I closed the test company. After that I was able to open my previously created businesses.

I hope it continues to work.

Looks like the program author(s) have built in a on-line verification needed over a fixed period of time. It's probably looking for a piece of code downloaded or the program goes into an error state. It's going to need a refresh in the cracked code in order to bypass that part of the code. Your salvation may be the original group who did the original code modification. They could probably spot the code anomoly quickly rather than having to go in and re-engineer the entire program. Can you contact the group that did the original work? Guessing is just going to land you down the rabbit hole again and again.
